It's wierd how some rivers can have down runs while others in the state can have their best runs in many years. I know many people that wrote off the springers season early this year but man are they missing out.
June was awesome for springers to say the least. It was one of my best years in the last 15. If I look at this springer season we aveeraged almost a fish a day more than my 15 year average. We caught limits of fish over 50% of our days in June.
Many rivers now have stacked springers in the upper rivers and should have good to great fishing well into, if not through July.
Heres some highlights of the month.
Many awesome limit days

This day we hooked 13 before 10:30 had to let a bunch of big nates go to find 6 hatchery fish.

Sometimes the fish came fast as quickly as you could recast. Here one goes to the box as another is brought on board for a quick pic.

Monster chromers right out of the ocean.

The day below was one of my best this spring as me and dad pulled into a hole side by side and hooked about a dozen fish in about an hour. As a crowd of other boats watched on often we had two on at the same time. We saw one other fish caught right after we limmited out.

Grant and I even got out one day together. We had planned this day to fish the ocean togehter this day with our good friend Don (from PC) only to find it too rough so we ran out for a little afternoon bobber action.
