Whopper Stopper

I fished above the falls for the first time this year. The fishing was strange to say the least. I hit the water at about 7am and didn't touch a fish for two hours! I tried all my favorite spots, tubes, cranks, spinner baits, nothing worked.
I finally hit a spot and caught about ten fish in an hour and a half. The weird thing was they were in one spot about the size of half a basketball court. I kept motoring up to the top and drifting back through. They wanted a brown tube and nothing else.
On my way back to the ramp I got nothing in all the regular spots and just before the ramp decided to tie on a Olive Yamamoto and bam! I caught another ten in about an hour. These fish were concentrated in a very specific spot.
Usually these fish are all over the place and it's just a matter to trying to find bigger ones. Is this typical this year??
