So I headed up the Columbia River before 3am . I got to my main spot in the Dalles area. Lots of bass up shallow and lots of beds started but no bass sitting on them, Full moon is in 4 nights. So I started slamming allot of males . If the males are hear the sow bass will be too. Yep I slammed a 4 pound 9 oz small mouth bass . I also got a few 3 pounder bass. The total number of bass from this location is 47 s.m. bass. I fished till 9am and I was set to move to my next spot. I have never fished Rowena back water area from a boat, but I now had a good pattern to go by (the bass were SHALLOW 1-4 feet). The bass were also located on points with rocks. As I was fishing Rowena I came to some man made structure ( I thank the people that did this     ), this was some BIG boulders and logs that the bass could get up under. From one of the spots that were man made I cast up next to a log / boulder and pow! This big FAT bass came flying out from under the log and ran right in to some nearby weeds. I put some heat on her and got her to the surface and dragged her to the boat. 5 pounds 10oz Large mouth bass! This bass was the best looking bass I have ever got! not real long but FAT and young and clean looking (not a mark on her! That's the biggest l.m. bass I have ever taken (C&R!) from any river. I wish I had the camera with me this trip (darn!) So that’s three bass 4lbs & 1/2 or bigger for the last two days of fishing and my best five bass for to day (total wt.) over 18 pounds & the grand total for the day was 75 , from a boat with only a trolling motor. What slump  :smash:  :bigshock: :yay:
I will post a link with a photo of the man made spots soon!
God what a great day  :yay:   :hearton:
