Anyone been to Hagg recently?

Thinking of going out tonight or tomorrow and wondering if anyone has had any luck.

I did some bank fishing (my boats in the shop ....again) Wednesday and Friday. Mostly confined to the rocks and bluffs between ramp A and the dam. Wednesday the smallmouth were hitting pretty regular. I picked up about 10 with 2 1/2#'s, the biggest. Went back Friday after a front went through the night before and it had slowed. But interestingly I had several strikes on a senko where the 'ladies" picked it up, carried it off and spit it out. I didn't understand what was happening at first and then realized they were on their nests. Glad I didn't pull one off! I eventually saw a very large lady protecting her nest near the bank.

Both days they were between 10 and 20 feet. I mostly fished senkos knock offs, 3"& 4”, Texas rigged with an unpegged 1/16 oz bullet weight. But I usually pick up a few on a special rigged modified beetle spin my brother calls his 'magic' lure.

The trout strollers were successful as usual.
