What posses a man that gets up every week day at 6am for work to get up at 4am on his day off? Must be somthing in the water....

Roger (exbassguide) and I hit Silver Lake up yesterday. We fished it from 4am-1 or 2pm and caught an expance of fish. The bite was pretty on using just about everything. We used an expance of crank baits, senko styles, and a couple spinners with pretty good results. The water was pretty warm, no temp readings but it was warmer then any other body of water I have been fishing up here.

I want to extend a big thank you to Roger for the trip and it was an amazing learning experience as well as just plain fun to talk shop with a really good fisherman.

Here are a few pics:
Rogers Fish: (mine I didnt dub camera worthy because my most was maybe 2.5lb)

I was nice fishing with you SANDZ !!!!!!! You are a good fisherman :smash:!!!! I think we got about 25 bass the biggest bass LANDED was 4lbs 9oz :bigshock:. BUT We had about six fish on that would of gone over 4-5 pounds ! Sandz can atest to the fact that the bass were hitting EVERY place we fished :smash:, The problem though was that we had a front pass through the area Thur night (it rained hard but on tooo long). So the bass would hit the lure but would not take the hole lure into there mouth, they were just nipping at the tip of the lure. We stuck some good fish but after a short fight the fish pulled off. We started giving the fish more time with the lure after they hit it and that helped some. NOW is the time to hit Silver Lake the spawn is over and the big bass are now really feeding hard. For the best results fish lots of spots (run & gun). Like SANDZ said they liked cranks and senko lures. We were at the lake at first light and that helped alot! Sandz will tell you (now) how good silver can be IF you fish it early and hit several spots before the sun comes out!! The first photo shows the location (Roger's Rocks -rock points) that we focused on AT first light. Thanks! Sandz it was fun fishing with you   :applause: !

If you are fishing this kind of location at Silver after 5am that will be all you get.
We did not tell you about the color of the crank bait:

I used a camo patern style char without a rattle in it... seemed to catch fish pretty well... gaining confidence in crank baits
