i was fishing at a park in albany for little warmouths and bluegills,when suddenly i spotted two 4-5 pound largemouth spawning.all i had was my trout rod with 6 pound test.i ended up landing one about 2 1/2 pounds but lost 4 that were 4-5 pounds.gonna go try and get them tomorrow,wish me luck :smash:

Please don't harass the fish if they are on their spawning beds. Let them get their duty done then you can chase them all summer!

I'm not sure but they should be pretty much done spawning by now. Over a week ago my kid was watching what appeared to be males protecting schools of fry.

I think they can spawn 2-3 times...with the second spawn being more productive.....especially with the fluctuating weather we have had.
