thoes are some very nice fish but don't be fooled the Columbia has that quality of fish in it. Last year at a club tournament on the mid columbia first place had 26 pounds! One day tournament 5 fish... I don't know why records keep coming out of Hagg i'd bet that the largest smallmouth in the states or Oregon and Washingon are lurking in the Columbia somewhere.. That said i'd love to go to lake Erie sometime:)

Those are whoppers alright! BuKu when is your next free weekend. I'm planning to float the John Day June 25-26 at Clarno. Plan on camping down from the bridge at the old red farmhouse. We'll put in at Bowermans landing and float back to camp. Hope you can make it. Would also like to see Shalom on a pontoon boat down there.
