Well boys, I'm off to float the John Day for 5 spectacular days starting Thursday morning. According to all the recent weather and water reports the fishing will be great! It won't hurt that the weather will be in the mid 80's either. I will have pics to post upon my return and a report for all. We'll be heading from Clarno to Cottonwood so if any of you happen to be there look for the Eastsider and 3 other boats in convoy. :smash:

HRDBUL,
Do you mind sharing access information for Thirtymile Creek?
I'm planning a 3-day trip on the JD next month and still haven't decided which section to float. Have done Clarno to Cottonwood before; looks like Thirtymile to Cottonwood might be within the 3-day window I have available.
Note: I understand 30-mile is a pay access site. Can a driftboat be launched there?
thanks....mike
