Fished up at Marion Lake for a few days. Fish were large this time with a few real trophys. My largest fish went 17" and took a trolled dragonfly nymph.

My afternoon catch and dinner.

I spotted these large trout spawning in the outlet. There were some real hogs in there. Can you spot all the fish in the pic? One I estimated at about 24" inches. This area is closed to fishing to protect the spawning trout.

Not to take away from a great day of fishing, but aren’t the two fish on the right side of the picture Bull Trout?

They are a couple of nice brookies. They look very similar (both char).

great pics and boy does it look like someone had a good time. I would love to know where Marion Lake is, even though i am not much of a still water fisherman.

GREAT PICS!!! I've been going to Marion Lake for as long as I can remember, made countless trips the whole length throught the 8 lakes basin. Jorn and Mowich are another couple of great lakes up that way. I'm planning on a trip within the next month, looks like it'll be another good one.

BTW, have you ever been up the Jefferson Park. Man, if you haven't been there, you need to go. One of the most beautiful places in the state. Right up there with Eagle Cap and the Wallowas.
