I think it is a Golden trout but I am not sure.
I got it off of a Colorado website.
The marking on the back indicate that it is not any kind of Bow.
It is very pretty what ever it is.

They are in Oregon and Washington. What I know about Golden trout if very little except they live at High elevation, which makes getting to them a challenge.
It would be fun to pursue.
I haven't caught them, but I've been on the hunt for a while. I bushwacked over a few mountains back in Idaho with no trail only to find out that the lake had frozen the last winter and there wasn't any life left in it. I've made a few similar discoveries up here in Washington now as well . . . no fish after hearing stories that they're in a certain lake. However, if anyone's interested I know of a fairly extensive list maintained by WDFW of lakes stocked with goldens at one time or another. I'd never post it but if you're up this way and want to explore, send me a pm and I'd be happy to share the list. I'll never get the chance to explore them all in my free time. . .

From a post I made last month:
There were some planted in Wood Lake in the Eagle Cap. Perhaps some still exist in Eagle Creek from which a friend of mine cot the current state record in 1987. It was actually ten inches long and weighed seven ounces but the ODFW has it listed as 7# 10 oz.; doubt if that record will ever be broken.

I caught a few several years ago while fishing some beaver ponds high in the Colorado rockies outside of Fairplay. Beautiful fish. I've also heard there are Goldens up in the Eagle Caps.

My favorite trout to catch. Being from nevada we have some very high elevation lakes that are full of goldens...

I have heard of these in Fall Creek above the reservoir, so I would guess that there's some as you get up in elevation perhaps on some of the smaller steams... they sure are purty though!
:flowered: C&R anything that good looking!
