This is on the boat of a friend. The engine cranks over just fine. There is no spark at the plugs. I checked for voltage to the coils, there is none. Everything looks nice and clean, no corrosion, but I have no wiring diagram to tell me where the voltage to the coils is being lost. It seems to me that there is most likely a blown fuse somewhere, but the fuse that is in the cover of the ignition control center is good, and I can't find any others. Does anyone have experience with 3 cylinder mercs of this vintage that might be willing to point me in the right direction? Thanks In Advance.

The stator most likely went out. That just happened to me on a Merc 115. The part was 200 bucks and labor was about the same. I had the work done at Southside......

I used to work at an outboard shop and I think it was fairly common of some of those mercs ( 50 I know)that the black box or brain orcontrol orwhatever you call that part that controlls spark and ignition goes **** up freqently
