mercury 8hp prop

Does mercury sell a prop for an 8hp 2 stroke that will give better thrust. My buddy has same 9.9 that has a prop which he was told gives better thrust. :shrug:

the stock prop is a 9 pitch, you can get them down to 5.5 pitch, which works great for trolling and provides better thrust.

tks ill look into that. is it just a bigger prop or whats the difference?

3/4 inch larger diameter, much flatter blades, goes 5 1/2 inches in one revolution instead of 9.
