I have seen a lot of posts in the past regarding hydrofoils but most of them had been put on smaller boats. I have a 20 foot hewescraft aluminum fishing boat with a 90 hp outboard. I was thinking of puting a hydrofoil on to help level out the boat while on plane. Right now it seems like the boat rides with the bow in the air even with only two people in it. Any opinions are welcome here. Just wanting some advice...
Thanks...

I have a older 1985,14ft hewescraft river runner with a 40HP prop and been using a Doel fin on it for close to 14 years(same one too) and it planes very fast.

I would consider a Sport 300 Hydrofoil (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jhtml?id=0000919010578a&type=product&cmCat=se arch&returnString=hasJS=true&_D%3AhasJS=+&QueryTex t=hydrofoil&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsear ch%2Fsearch-box.jhtml.22&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx =mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=hydrofoil&noImage=0&retur nPage=search-results1.jhtml) instead of the other kinds with two halfs. I have one and it works very well on my 16' Smokercraft with a 50hp. I think remember and Ifisher mentioning a friend of his who had one side of the hydrofoil break off while on plane and it nearly flipped the boat. I don't see this as an issue with the Sport Hydrodoil.

What Fishdog said.... I have the same boat, 19' Stryker, but with a 90hp 2stroke O/I Merc. The Doel-Fin snaps my boat up on plane in a hurry.... JMHO.... :yay:
