I hope I am not boring everyone with my bad reports, and I am getting tired of posting the same thing, but in the spirit of giving information, here goes. My brother n law and I took the pontoons out and fished the Rooster Rock Water Way on Saturday. The weather was nice and the water was 55 degrees. I thought we would find some fish, but we hit nothing. Not even one nibble. Threw senkos, 4" worms, small spinner baits, crankbaits (lipless and other wise), jigs, and everything else in the tackle box. We hit the water at 10am and fished our way all the way out to the Columbia. At 12:30 we decided to try up the road a way, and fished Hartmen Pond at Benson Park. We put our pontoons in at 1pm and fished until 2:45. I got 7 bites and stuck two of them. Can you say tiny fish. The two that I brought in were 6-8". The other bits were, more like trout nibbles. Anyway, did not get completely skunked, but I think I am done with fishing the small bodies of water around here. I am getting too frustrated. My only good day of bass fishing around here was with bucketmouth on the Willamette. I am planning on fishing my home body of Water (Cooper Creek Res) on May 21st. I hope to vindicate myself a little there. I need a boat that I don't have to row!!!
