Anyone know where you can find these locally?
Like this:
web page (http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/Items.aspx?disp=list&hierId=dropshot)

I'm thinking of adapting this dropshotting tech to walleye, w/ jig on bottom.

I tried to post a link to the picture of the hook on Jann's, but couldn't make it work. I suspect they have it blocked, somehow. I'm trying again from BPS. Yaaayyy! It worked. Maybe somebody will see the picture and know where to get'um?

I can't say where you can get them, for certain, but would try Fisherman's Marine & Outdoor first (sponsor of this forum) and any other bass tackle shops you can find by phone. That said, there's no reason why this hooks is required. You can tie any hook to standout "proud" by tying a Palomar, then tucking the tag end back through the hook eye to make the point be upward. I use them regularly, but have not bought them at retail locations locally. My last batch came from the sportsmans show. They rep told me that soon they would be avialable in packs of 100 each.

Fishermen's doesn't have them . I have asked for them . I tried some samples that were given to me and i loved them .
I will pick some up at Joes . Once i tried them , i wanted more . And yes i have tried running the end of your line down through the eye a second time to make it stand out the correct and proud way .

Shalom, fishing with these standout hooks is like drop shot'n on steroids!

They are made by the blakemore company. They are located in AL.

Did a Google on Standout Hooks, and found the website of the company that distributes them. They are in Alabammy, but it didn't say Blakemore's, but "TTI Companies". Could be same company does Blakemore's products. Conglomorates! They say they work great for Walleye's, then have a pic of a Northern Pike. Also dug up the page for them at BPS. Doesn't say much, but you can order some online, if you want. Saves gasoline. C&R, Steve

I am checking back where I found them before tommorow, Ill report if I can find any. Maybe it was a fluke? Either way I was pretty sure of seeing them at Joes on cornell and west union. As I said, I will be checking again to double check.

http://www.standouthooks.com./ this was posted by an IFISHerman a long while back, just bringing it back to the forefront.

Alas, I found some "look alikes" but not the same thing as what you guys seem to be lookin for. What I found were what seemed to be like a circle hook with a curved back head into the eye, not a stand out hook. Sorry guys. If you want to check out for yourself I found what I thought looked like the hooks on the back isle where the massive amounts of hooks were located in the Cornell and West Union GI Joes.
On the positive side I did get to inform a few people of the site and the community that we have here.

You might consider ordering a package of 100 from TTI/blakemore. Takes longer to get them, but then you won't have to buy more for some time.
