I have found some Smallmouth with consistentcy near an island between Wallace Marine park and Independence, but have not had much luck anywhere else. Last week I saw some guy's pullin out at Wallace that had caught some really nice fish north of Wallace towards Keizer (they showed me pics on their camera phone). They were in a hurry as was I and all got from them was 2 miles down river on the left where there are some big rocks. I didn't find the place they were talking about. Any of you ifishers out there know what they were talking about, or other areas close to Salem on the willy to try? I do not keep the fish I catch, and run a prop so that is a consideration
