Hit a nice smallie Sunday at Billy Chinook while fishing for bull trout. Looked like it was getting ready to spawn by the looks of it's belly. Water temp. was 58 degrees on the Metolious arm. One small bull, 12 kokanee jigging north of the island. Rescued a 22" bull that someone had broke of a huge flatfish on. It was close to death. Caught and released it. I wish people would us large enough line while targeting big fish. 8lb test mono just doesn't cut it.
