I will be headed out to smith and bybee this afternoon and was just wondering if anybody had any info about how to go about fishing the lakes. I've fished the little ponds and sloughs there without any sucsess . I will report on how I did when I return. Thank you very much for any help.

GET OUT AND ENJOY THE WEATHER WHILE IT LASTS!!!
good luck and please C&R the bass

Used to fish Smith Bybee lakes from a plastic pontoon two man boat. Got tired of carrying all the gear over the trail to get to the water. But when we did go, we used to catch nice bass using spinner baits, palstics and cranks. Later, fished the lake from a float tube and had very little success. Bass populations seemed to diminish.
