Hey Cliff
Won't be much help to you here as I have only fished Foster and that was only one time a couple of years ago. Caught maybe 10 smallmouth and nothing bigger than about a pound and a half. Looking forward to that bass trip I promised you. I just got a whole bunch of family commitments to get out of the way in the next month then hopefully I can get some fishing in. The itch is driving me crazy!

Go up there when a tournament is being held. Watch where the boats go and pay attention to how they fish the area. That is a good way to find out how to fish an unknown body of water.

Green peter is more known for bass fishing but I prefer Foster. It's a smaller lake and was much easier for me to figure out. In the mid summer when I fish this lake I just pitch senkos and other plastics up under the overhanging brush in the south santiam arm of the lake. We have caught quit a few fish that way never anything big, but where there is little fish there has got to be big ones right. A couple of years ago we were out on foster in early spring. We were putting around looking at the depth finder when we came across a ledge that was covered with fish, I mean it looked like every fish in the lake was right here on this spot. We only fished it a few casts due to the oncoming rain. The ledge is sitting in between the two lake chanels a couple hundred yards off the timbered point. Hope any of this helps ya.
