Slowly but surely the spawn is coming on. No great #'s yet but most boats are getting some and not from just one area. They are moving in towards spawning areas and some are spawning. One of our fish yesterday squirted water which I have been told they will do to clean out their system after spawning. It is not wide open fishing yet,I'm just saying it is starting. The weather has been a wild card. Tuesday it blew all day from the north on the Snake and from the west in the Powder. It was the perfect storm coming in. Yesterday was dead calm all day, today it's raining but calm. With some steady warm weather and stable water levels it will be "on" soon.

Thanks for the report. We are going to be there June 5th. We have done well before in June. Is that the post-spawn feeding? Seems the fish are always deep in 15-20' in rocky coves.

Hey:
You boys that are going over there in the next week or so better save a few for Texas Rig, Fishin' Eddie, and Fishrite, cause we are coming in May. :yay: :yay: :yay: I missed it last year and swore that I would never miss it again. I didn't have a boat last season. Texas Rig was stuck on the coast and all I could do was dream about those "big slabs." So come May 12 we will be coming over to that little corner of Heaven called Brownlee. See ya'll then. Fishrite
