I am going out to Vernonia pond with Sandz to catch some bass and probably some trout since they stocked it this week. I am sending out an invitation to anyone who wants to go. We will be fishing from shore but you can bring a boat up there with a trolling motor only. I reccomend a small aluminum boat since it isnt that deep. If you want to go just reply on here and if you need directions just send me a PM. The bass fishing should be great this weekend up there and you wont get skunked if you want to hook up with some trout since they stocked it with 3500.

Can't go, damn thing called work. This job is always getting in the way of my leisure. Was thinking of going there this weekend with the nice weather and stocked trout. I may head out there this Sunday.

Good luck and tell us how you do!

Fishing was fun today! Both I and Mr. Wood caught about 40 trout a piece (keeping only 5 a each but each trout was atleast 13in).

We headed out there around 12:45pm and were into fish by 1:15. I caught the biggest crappie ive caught as a first fish today (appr. 9-10in and idk the poundage) on my favorite little rooster tail (targeting trout/bass/whatever will eat). Soon after, Big Bad over there landed a nice bass (pics will be up soon) off of a knock off 5in senko type lure. So after this we see this truck pull up... BAM stocking truck had arrived as they were gearing up for the kids tourney which is tommorow. We pulled up our polls and fished our way to the bank where they had dropped off the trout and started pitching out rooster tails. We nailed a fish for about every 2 or 3 casts all above 9in. We pulled our limit easy, iced em, and headed out to target bass (this is after maybe 1.5 hours of being there). As soon as we started pitching senko's and spinners the wind started gusting up. This continued for the rest of the day but Bad managed to nail a few more and I hit on a couple but they seemed to be grabbing the backs of our baits and were hard to hook. Headed out about 7ish.

Twas a beautiful day on the water. A few clouds, very sunny, clear blue sky. we will soon have to hit that place up again if it keeps looking like this!
