Looks like I'll get the chance to flog the Crooked River later this week.
Any hints on what sort of flies I should be tying?
Any reports or general commentary is welcome.

I've done well on smaller light colored dries this time of year (not necessarily because they matched the hatch ) as well as the regular nymph patterns. I'd walk into the river throwing a size 16 or 18 adams until I saw something else coming off.
That river has got to be pretty close to non existant right now.

Scud patterns always do well. I would also try Blue Winged Olives. Have fun!

What ever you do, don't try a chronomid pupa as a trailer behind an orange scud.
There has been snow, but the roads are mostly clear with a few slick spots in the shade. NPR is predicting 6-12 inches of new stuff this morning, but there is not a flake dropping nor does the sky look like it will be any tme soon.
