I'm trying to get some info on Mann Lake - do any of you know if there are any web sites that will show the water level? What about fishing reports? Thanks!

I have never fished it but there was another thread discussion HERE (http://www.ifish.net/forum/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=755100&page=1&view=collap sed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1)
Good luck and post a report if you go.

Thanks for the thread. I'm actually not going, but a guy I work with is planning a trip in June and asked if I knew any links to info about the lake. But if he goes, I'll get a report from him and post it.

I've fished Mann a couple of times but it's been years. If you go in June go early June. Went in May once and had the coldest camping experience of my life but was down to shorts and t-shirt in the afternoon. It's a unique experience. By the way, the cows there are very friendly...will be grazing tentside during the middle of the night.

Brassies and leave the women at home. Leave the women and kids home. This place has the nastiest weather in Oregon. When its cold it's cold when its hot it is major snakey. Many people bit right in camp near head.Leave the dog at home too. Oh yeah leave the fish in the lake. They are all stocked on a shrinking budget and a dist. Bio who does not have Mann LK. as a high priority.GL & GB you'll need it

I fished Mann 3 years ago in June. Awesome experience. We fished it for about 4 hrs one day on a giant week-long fishing adventure. We fished it from a canoe & each brought 12 or so in over 17" many more under that size - largest was about 24". It was one of those epic days with non stop action & we seemed to be the only ones on the lake doing any good which made us feel like pros & proud to be natives - Lots & lots of california license plates in the parking lot. Interestingly enough the hot ticket was beaded hares ears shredded into a grey leach looking blob.
To top off the experience 2 A-10 Warthogs came screaming over the steens dropped over the lake and rolled as they went over.
I know the water level has suffered since I was out there but hopefully your buddy will have a great time.
Tight Lines,
Tako
