PTS Scores (Again)!

I was fishing a local river today when I met PTS. He demonstrated his technique for Nymphing for winter steelhead and caught this hatchery fish (on his “secret" winter steelhead pattern):

The steelhead was 30 ¾ inches long and weighed 10 pounds 4 ounces :cheers:.

Yes, Phil is the master. He would have a hard time NOT catching fish!! I went 0 for 0 this morning, and of course Phil was on the water long before I showed up at 6:30.

I spend a lot of time on the water fishing alone so it was really great to meet and share the river with two fine flyfishers like Dave and Andy today. Andy kept his streak of successful days going today, also. The last few weeks with the low water has provided excellent flyfishing conditions. Let's hope the forcasted rain will produce some fresh fish and maybe even Springers. :smile:
