I have a little 7.5 hp merc that has come upon hard times.
It runs aok at full tilt, but anything less it poops out.
It will idle aok, but when i put a load on it by throwing it into gear it poops out again,
I tried blasting it out with carb cleaner. Hell, it ran great last season until one day it started giving me troubles.
And to top it off, one of the 2 motor mounts (the clamp that you can tighten down to the transom with the Knob by twisting) the pot metal hanger snapped off. so I only have 1 tightner to hold it on the transom (still have the remnant of the hanger to even the weight, but only 1 side will clamp down.
Anyone have an idea of where i MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET THE CLAM ISSUE RESOLVED, AND what the deal might be with the poor running?
