So my first post here came after a hard night studying  if you know what i mean. It didn't feel right not having a story to post, so i thought this might be a good one. Maybe those of you here with kids can relate.

I don't remember this story personally, but i've heard it so many times that it must be true. My pop's took me fishing for the first time when i was about 3 years old. Of course he didn't give me a rod and teach me how to cast, but i was on the river nonetheless. Basically it ended up being a day for him to take his son out on the river while he anchored and fished a couple of spots. After a little while, i guess i got the feeling that i knew how to do this stuff. I decided that the whole theory was throw stuff in the river. From what i've been told i got a life jacket, clippers, floatant, and few boxes of flies into the river before he got a hold of me. I guess he got the important stuff i threw back, or i would DEFINATELY have heard that little detail.

This story might not be that old though. I still throw any random thing i can find into the water. Only nowadays, i come up with a fish once in a while.
For some reason, i feel more at home here with a story on the board.

Nice story and welcome! After reading that I realized I need to call my Dad and thank him for taking me fishing when I was little, and not turning me into chum when I did things like that!

Thanks for the picture. I waited until my daughter could talk and understand English before we went fishing. Also, this also brings up the fond memories of kids writing all over the inside and outside of a house exploring the adventures of the ink pen! I still have a blue line under 5 coats of paint in one back corner.
