Dear Mark:
Glad the piece on how to rig tubes was of help to you. They really are fine little bass baits.
Outlaw Baits makes a variety of colors in these lures. I have friends here in Florence who have been hammering the bass in Tenmile Lake on the darn things all winter.
If you haven't already, I suggest you take a look at the earlier columns I've written for ifish. You'll find them in the archives and many of them deal with bass fishing.
Good luck to you, Mark.

Hi, Stan...haven't seen you in a long time. I used to do the WBC newsletter, and send it to you, circa '90. Ran ads for your 5 hr. Ranger Pro Staff boat, and still wishing I'd bought it.
I read your latest article, but have not been able to find an online source for Outlaw Baits, except the Salmon/Steelhead stuff. That tube is a nice color. Tubes are one of my favorite baits, tho I gotta say, Senkos will do a lot of the things I used tubes for, so I'm going to Splitshot and DropShot them. They make a pretty neat little topwater, too! Maybe you could post a link to an online source for Outlaw bass lures?
I normally rig 3"-3.5" tubes with a McCoy's Gitzit rattle or a splitshot stuffed inside. The rearward balance gives a nice slow spiraling fall that bass just can't stand. Glad you had a good trip to El Salto, it sounds like fun. C&R, Steve

I also like to fish tubes . How do you put the split shot in the tubes . I think that i saw a plastic tube once that had some bb 's in it ?
