As some of you know, my grandmother passed away at the end of January. I thank you all for your prayers and support. Now unfortunately, I need some more. My father, after being very ill for a week and a half, this past Tuesday had a CAT scan done. He has an abcess about the size of a softball on his small intestine. After a few days of draining and a regiment of antibiotics, to help get his strength and imune system up, his doctor has scheduled surgery for today to reomve the part of his small intestine that has the abcess. I am not going to lie to you....I am scared. I know he'll probably come out of it ok, but in the back of my head, part of me thinks the worst. I love my dad and don't want to lose him to this. Any prayers and thoughts will be perfect. My mother is going insane, as she delt with this stress when my grandmother was dying. I know she's stressed to the max. She doesn't show it, but it's there. So, if you all can get the chain started I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

My dad went through the surgery ok. He had just over a foot of his small intestine removed. While the Doctor was in there, as a precautionary measure, also took out his apendix. He had perferations around where the abcess was at so he had to have the surgery, or he die. He won't however, have to carry a bag around. That is the upside. My mother is going nuts. With my dad down for a while and not working, she's worried about bills and new house moving, getting the old place cleaned, and such. Other than that, everything seems to be ok. His doctor says he's moving along nicely. He's just in a lot of pain. Who wouldn't be after they had thier gut cut open. Keep the prayers coming for a speedy recovery. With the lords help everything else will fall into place. Thanks a bunch....everyone.

Good news. I will pray for your Dad's recovery and for help in the daily needs of living that you mentioned. Do you have a church family or other friends that you can lean on for help? God's Blessing to you and your family.
I will continue to pray for His recovery.

Well, I talked with my mom last night. Dad is doing great. He's off the drip feeder, and eating some solids. He may get to go home tomorrow. I am going up this weekend, again, with my bro to help finish up the move into the new house. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. Enough can never be said for the healing power of God and the power of prayer.
