I've tried to talk myself out of fishing it this year. Its usually held in February and most years I fish it. Its run well, but I really dont like the one fish deal - too much luck involved. And this year I dont have enough luck to go around!

Adam this time of year you never know. I would start shallow in or infront of the willows. Senkos and jigs.If you have to move out use drop shots in deeper water, they should be shallow with the resent weather patterns. Good luck.

Adam you should be able to catch a lot of fish. If the water is 54+ grab your favorite spinnerbait as soon as the wind chops the water up a bit. Until then toss your senkos and reel in the fish

Hey, I was planning on going to tenmile in about 10 days. Any tips on where to find them this time of year? In the past I have gone in the summer time and done well outside the weedline. Should I be using senkos like I have in the summer months? Thanks for any advice

This time of year is just a plain good ol time to try a lot of baits and maybe develope favorites. Shallow cranks...tubes skipped under bushes or senko's...the only thing I proabably wouldn't use is big worms as I just have never tried it.

Sure wishing I was down there right now! There's a pretty hard frost around here but it should warm up nice today. Could be a good one at CG this afternoon!

A touch of irony...I decide not to fish the big fish tourney at tenmile today, go to a different lake, and boat a 7.6. Nice..

Good for you Nitro....personally just wanted to get started fishing tourneys. Water temp was almost 60 in places and bite was not what I expection for the conditions. Anyway there were only twenty plus boats. Ended up with a second place for having a four pounder (3.94). First had a 4.22

Nice going! Thats a good payout tourney if nothing else.

Can you believe almost 60 degree water in March?!!? It makes me wonder if maybe its not warming up too fast. Usually then the water drops quickly, and fish are 'in between' and hard to catch.
