Went down to a local pond today to try to catch some panfish, I could see them in and around the brush, the bigger ones right in the brush of course. I could not get them to bite a jig, I tried 1/80th ounce and 1/32 oz maybe it was the bobber?? any suggestions? thanks

Try using a meal worm, wax worm or tip your jig with a partial piece of night crawler.

You might try putting a crappie nibblet on your jig .

Crappie Nibblets are at FISHERMENS MARINE , G.I. JOES AND BI- MART DRUG . I like to go to BI-MART.They have a good selection and are usually the best price . I prefir the white ones .

You might try a white micro jig 12" under your bobber it works for me.

This has worked well for me in the past. Take a micro jig and tie about 8 inches of 1 or 2 pound leader directly to the hook bend. On the other end tie on a small nymph (fly) like size 16 - 18 hares ear, pheasant tail nymph etc. Fish it slow.

I always had good luck using varying sizes of worms with the smallest split shot usable about 1.5 feet above the hook. They love to hit it on the free fall.
