I'm headed up river as well. If ya see a big red Duckworth, that'd be me & my uncle. Last time I was out, water was right at 40F a couple weeks back and good clean color. That's the main Columbia that is. Below the Willamette I hear its dirtier. Don't know the temp down there.
I suspect it'll be a slow bite, so go slow and light. Jig if ya can. Females should be staging for pre-spawn in the deeper water off the spawning shelves. Snap a quick pic & release'em if you have the will power. I hear the males like to congregate above the little island about this time. I think we might pull harnesses w/ smiley blades up there and may try our hand at jigging for the females below. Wouldn't mind tying into a 18-19lb female! Yea, wouldn't we all!!?? Could happen.
Will be up there Sat, FRS CH13, give Walleye Tracker a holler.
Post results next week and we'll compare notes.
