Well fordtruckfisher, you have some reading to do. There are several post on this fourm on what kind of baits to use and where to go to catch bass. Just peruse through and you'll find loads of info.

This looks like your first post. Got any fish stories to tell. We would like you to share one with us. Welcome aboard the ifish team!

If you would like to learn about bass fishing on an ongboing basis, look into attending one of the meetings held by the Oregon Bass & Panfish Club. They have informative speakers at each meeting and members always are willing to share info with you on where to and how to. Check out their web site at: http://obpc0.tripod.com/ (Note that the figure after "obpc" is a zero (0) not a capital "O").

Well- that's a pretty big question!

If you could narrow it down to time of year and type of water I would love to get you started in the right direction. There really is no one thing that will work on bass- sometimes whats supposed to work doesnt either!!

Welcome!
Josh.

Welcome aboard .
You will not go wrong with going to a meeting at the OREGON BASS & PANFISH CLUB . We are family orintated and not a tournament club . If you would like to go to a meeting e- mail me or BUCKETMOUTH and we will help you out . You will learn a lot . Our guest speaker this month will be LARRY HUTCHENS WITH LOWRANCE . I can allways learn something that will help me to catch more fish .

For one it's spring time and bass are very vernerable(spelling) in the shallows so for one it's a good time to practice catch and release of all the ladys. If your river fishin try places out of the current with a bait that falls fairly slowly. Fish 1 to 6 feet of water and be a line watcher as most bites will go undetected by feel. Grubs or tubes on 1/8 oz heads work well. Chartruse, Yamamoto 176, to mention just a couple in grubs. Tubes in black or watermelon can also be killers. Fishing cranks in firetiger or crawdad slowllllllly also can work wonders.
