Everyone knows the quality of Owner jig hooks but unfortunately they don't manufacture really small heavy wire hooks. I've been searching for a quality small jig hook that can hold steelhead and I've finally found the right one. That hook is a Daiichi Bleeding Bait Jig Hook . These red hooks are needle sharp right out of the package. Keeping with our trademark solid brass beads and palmered feathers, we now have a line of micro jigs that are mini replicas of our larger jigs. These are the ultimate light line steelhead fishing jigs. We've been field testing these jigs with the low water conditions we're currently experiencing and the results are impressive.
Here is a comparison picture of our new micro jig next to a medium size steelhead jig.

We will be offering these jigs in two sizes, micro and mini micro. The weight of these mini micro jigs is similar to a 1/64th-oz jig. The micro jigs are similar to a 1/32nd-oz jig.
In the last couple weeks several fish have fallen victim to these small jewels. Here is a 16-pound broodstock that took a custom-tied micro jig.

This is one of seven fish I landed a couple weeks ago using a custom-tied micro jig.

I have been fishing these jigs using the exact same sliding set-up I normally use which consists of a 1/2-oz West Coast Float with an in-line weight. On the other end of the weight I tie on about a three foot leader and the jig.
These micro jigs are available immediately from our online store.
If anybody has questions about these jigs, please feel free to contact me.
