I have ratty old carpet in my bpat and was wondering if any one could tell me how much it would be to replace it with that vinal plastic stuff and how much would a new spedo run just the unit no tube

Depends on the size of your boat. I tore out the carpet in my 19' boat a few years back. I had some bad floorboards so I replaced that too. I used the marine vinyl they sell at Fishermans. I think for the vinyl and adhesive was about $150. You will need a roller and a notched trowel for doing the job.
Don't know about the speedo.

its pretty small mabe like 10 ft needs to be done
Check out Premier Rubber on N. Vancouver Way off Marine Dr. They have a selection of heavy rubber and vinyl floor mats in 3' and 4'. I bought 10 lf. of close out floor mat 41" wide for $1.50 lf.

Give FMS a call. They carry Marine Vinyl Textured flooring and sell by the running foot. I believe it runs about 6-8 bucks a foot (6 ft goods).

I did my 16' with home depot black indoor outdoor carpet. 2.99$ a Lineary yard 6'x 3' 60$ worth did my boat with 10$ in glue EZ to do!
