Its been a kinda quiet week here at the ranch. Lots of folks wondering where all the fish went. Getting out and coming to the coast just to say Hello! And seeing whats coming in with the tide at the Jetty. The weather has been sunny and cool no rain to speak of. I did see a report that down south they're getting tons of rain. Our Rain!
With the split in the jet stream we get dry conditions except for the past few weekends and just a drizzel at best here.
Slowly folks are asking about Sturgeon Fishing. Not much bragging about their catches but non-the-less asking for Sturgeon Bait and heading out to the WEST Channel. I've seen many boats out there during the low tide. I'm guessing that they are getting a few. Maybe alot but they're NOT saying a word. One of these days I will get word from a devoted customer who will BRAG a bit to me. I did'nt receive any phone messages yet today whether or not the guys who did get out today got anything at all.
Some reports about Surf Perch are coming in and the reports are good. Large Surf Perch are easily found at Cape Mears Beach and Cape LookOut State Park. The tides have been good with incoming tides all day long. If you can get down to the Coast you'll have a wonderful time, theres so many places to go, its hard to decide sometime.
I got a new rod and reel for Christmas I'm dieing to try out. I have Tuesday off. I think I'll go! See what is out there. Wish me luck. Its been a while!
