I talked to a pal at the sportsman’s show and he got a 4 pounder last weekend. He got it on the edge of the "celery”. Celery is a plant that grows in the shallows (1 inches to 2.5 feet deep). The bass move in to the celery for the warm water. The bass also spawn in and around celery. Most bass like hard lake bottom to spawn on ,at silver the use wood and sandy areas. The water temps have been from 43 - 53 deg. In the last two weeks. This is the time of year you should try the canals on the north west end of the lake. Also I would try Waldon island and timber point. The bass will be in the shore line brush. Also there are some shore line logs just about 300 yards south of the very west most piling row. It can be hot this time of year! You need to focus your fishing time in the afternoon. Also look for areas that are out of the wind (the water will stay warmer when the water is not blow out of the shallows, and gets time to get nice and warm. Silver is a great choice this time of year. I hope to try out a spot on the Willamette! You could get a real monster this time of year at Silver Lake!!!!! :yay:  :bigshock:
