Hey guys,
My name is Jose I recently moved to the area Beaverton Oregon to be exact, from Austin Texas. Looking forward to doing some fishing here and wanted to let you guys know that you guys have something great going here I've read some of posts on here and they are an excellent way to pass on good info. I love to bass fish largemouth mostly but also some smallies and Crappie. Im looking forward to getting to know some of the area lakes and rivers and maybe some of you guys. I was looking for some advice, I left a bass boat behind in Austin. The boat is a 17 footer all fiberglass with a 90HP Mercury engine. I havent seen many bass boats around the area, they dont seem to be the wise choice for these waters.Im taking a trip to Austin in March and I'm debating wether to tow it back or just sell it, any advise would be welcomed.

IT WILL WORK GREAT ON THE RIVERS AND ON THE LAKES!!
We have lots of fish to pick from up in this neck of the woods, So bass fisherman are smaller in number than from Austin. But you are in luck, we have a world class bass fishery! the Columbia river is filled with small mouth bass! Welcome aboard!!!!!! :cheers: We are all gald to help any time!!!! :applause:

But keep quiet! You just moved in to an area with some of the best bass fishing in the country! The smallie fishing here can be second to none.

There is a reason you don't see a lot of bass boats up here, it's called salmon.

My biggest concern is that everyone who targets salmon, steelhead and sturgeon will find out how good us bass fishermen have it. :eek: I pray on a daily basis that never happens.

Welcome to Oregon and Ifish. :wave: You will definately want to sell that bass boat and buy a sled or deep V or something to fish for salmon out of. Because when the salmon are running I enjoy having whole lakes, etc. to myself to catch bass out of. :grin:
Seriously, Get that bass boat up here! There is some great bass fishing to be found up here. :smash:
