View Full Version : Prayer request for the fish!
Hey I know this sounds silly, but it just struck me that of the 1.5 million IFish posts, and all the Chapel posts..I have never read a prayer , or a prayer request for the fish.
Jump on a bandwagon here for just a minute, and send up a good word not only for all the people here in need, but for the salmon and the steelies and the sturgies and even the lowly pikeminnow...well, maybe not the pikeminnow.
ARGH, Almost forgot the Tuna...(though Im sure Mr Tuna Keta would have reminded me)

You're cracking me up. But why not. Everything belongs to the Lord. The fish are his creations. GO GOD!!!

Doesn't everybody do this when they get in the boat:
"Please Lord, let us have a good time, be safe and just this once let me catch a fish".
Now I know the Lord definitely heard our prayers last year and he also has a great sense of humor. I was taught the Lord says yes, no, or not right now.
I got the "not right now" from March through the end of July so he definitely kept a large number of fish safe from me last season :wink:

How about a word of thanks for the abundance we are privileged to share in. As well as a request for help in being good stewards of the blessings at hand.

Hmmm. I don't know. I feel conflicted praying for something that I really want to hook, reel in, and then club in the head. Not sure what my prayer FOR the fish would be? :grin:
