Ok a story sounds good... My name is Kris. I currently am attending Linfield College in McMinnville Oregon. I am 19 years old and I love to go bass fishing. I just started getting into bass fishing in the last 2 years. I used to fish a lot of streams out in my home town of Banks. I really dont have much time to go fishing during the week but I go almost every saturday. I usually go bass fishing in Vernonia this time of year. The is a great little pond that has some qualityu bass. It also has trout crappie blue gill and catfish. If you go out there right now bring some heavier tackle because it was just stocked with 350 steelhead. Well there is some info about me. But like I asked earlier, If anyone knows of any ponds or lakes either down by Mcminnville or out by Banks please share. Oh and if anyone wants info on Vernonia pond just send me a message and I will get back to you. thanks again and i love this Board

I can't help you with any waters in the valley, but if you ever get to this side of the mountain to central Oregon I might be able to give you some ideas.Anyway, welcome to ifish!

Yes Linfield won the National Championships in Football for Division 3. I dont just go to the games but I am on the team. We beat Mary Hardin Baylor 28-21 But thanks for all the welcome and I would love to go fishing with some of you guys sometime. I fish Hagg Lake alot around May and I just bank fish, but I usually catch from 3-10 largemouth when i go there. THe key to Hagg and the largemouth are either fish Senkos in the cover with come espically Tanner Creek Area. Or if you arent into Senkos, you can have a blast nailing them off of about any popper out there. The best one i have found for hagg is a skitter pop or a hula popper. Well if anyone wants more info or to go fishing sometime reply to this or start a new post.

Bad Wood 75, your on the team? Thanks for giving me a huge thrill this fall. You guy's ROCK! You are welcome in my boat anytime.

My 10 year old son want's to play for Linfield or Oregon State someday. I will be happy to see him go to school at either. He is playing in the pop werner program out here in Scappoose. He played linebacker, tight end and fullback this last fall, and is allready looking forward to this coming season.

If you whant to go fishing sometime, just send me a pm. It may cost you an autograph on a football for my son, but other than that, it's on me.

Thanks I would love to give your son a football with an autograph. Its cool that he is into sports and all. Believe me, even if your from a small school you can do big things. I went to Banks High School so I am very familiar with the way Scappoose football works. They have a great program and some awesome coaches. I chose linfield over OSU and Oregon. I had an offer to both of these schools but I chose not to go. I want to try fishing the Columbia sometime for bass. I have never tried the Columbia or the WIllamette.

Badwood, I too fish Hagg a lot. Also the Willamette. If you would like to hook up some time for a days worth of fishing, Ill show you where the smallies hide out at Hagg.

I have caught many fish out of Tanner Creek. I like fishing that area because my daughters name is Tanner!
