im new to this circuit and was wondering if someone who has fished it could explain the different options pools. i talked with tony b of the south region at the jamboree but he went so fast it blew past me. i think there is Dr Plots, Easy Money and big bass/big fish. seems like a pretty good trail with a mix of skill levels so we're giving it a shot and fishing as travelers. we'll see how it goes, thanks

I've fished a bunch of them and I dont fully understand all the options. The whole deal with the options is that if you think you have a shot at winning you need to enter them. When you win an ABA tourney and have entered the options, you're looking at 800-1300 bucks, depending on how many boats they got. When you win on ABA tourney and dont enter the options you're looking at 500 bucks. Most guys enter them.

I would agree with Nitro...have also fished this tourney circuit and it's a pretty good one. You might want to pay at the first one at the launch to get an idea what everyone's entering. We ususally end up paying around 80 bucks or so apiece. Options are important!!

updated info: big fish pays top 5 big fish of tournament
big bass pays for big bass of the season
dr plots: pays heaviest bag of 10 boat groups(grouped by registration order i think)
easy money: pays big fish from groups of 7 boats
not many people seemed to get in easy money, pay out was only 1 pot of $40. dr plots had a good pool and covered some entries fees for sure
