Fished Boardman area on the big C today. 4 walleye in the boat. Nothin real big. 16-22 inches. No wind and HOT!! Other boats did well. Saw one boat with over 10 fish. Fish are filleted and the oil is hot so.....later.. :grin:

Pullin worm harnesses worked for me. Seemed like all the pick ups were on a turn or an S pattern trolling downstream. Other boats were scoring on blade baits. That's a nice campground/RV park right at the water. You can moor your boat for free when you stay at the park. I'll be back for more than the day next time. I've really struggled to catch walleye on the lower river and rufus, so its nice to find a more fish friendly place.

Did you catch the name of the r.v/campground up there? or maybe basic directions,any info would help,thanks.
I have yet to catch my first walleye and have heard they are the best eating I am looking forward to trying one.

You guys should load up and head to michigan I just got back . I caught 37 walleye on saginaw bay the first day by 2pm then I caught 27 perch over 13" 50 total keepers I only cept 5 of the walleye but I was their two weeks and fish just about 7 days and caught limits every day by noon. But I have a advantage as I grew up on saginaw bay and walleye is a why of life back there I sure wish I could move back there :depressed: I almost forgot to tell you guys I also got a 13.8 lb northern pike on a gold hot -n-tot. I was running two rod off planner boards in 20' of water and I was hooking up about every 10 min. make a trip you wont be sorry. cheers Rich
