With the spawn winding down crappie fishing was tough today. We found some small pockets of willing crappie but good size keepers were hard to come by.We had a good catch on the 6th and some good catches have been made at night.
To take up the slack catfish are on a tear in the flats and yellow perch and bluegill are coming on.Bass have slowed from great to good.C&R a 16"er today

Gary, sounds like my trip last week was well timed. Fried up a bunch of the crappie and bass fillets yesterday - yum! Have lots of future meals in the freezer, thanks to you.

Good report, sounds like you'll still be busy with other species as the crappie and bass wind down. Are you catching the perch on the Arm, or out on the lake? Saw some folks cleaning perch last weekend - had some real dandies!

Dean,we also had a fish fry on Friday.Great eating. The perch are showing up in the Arm and out on the Snake. The river channel in the flats is a good place to start.

Um-m-m-m-m! I haven't had perch fillets for years. Good eating!

Not certain if I'll get up there this July to try for the trout, but would the perch fishing still be good at that time in the upper arm?
