Thanks to some of your postings I got a wild hair and drove up to MAR-DON late Tues. night and got back last night (Sun.) The first couple of days I only got two nice Walleye. Then I got VERY lucky and met some cool locals from Othello. After some time (and a couple of beers)they offered to take me to some smaller lakes. WHAT A BLAST! We killed the walleye Sat. and yesterday. I caught several from 17-19.5 inches and one of the locals landed a 8lb 26incher first thing Sun. morning. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE SUGGESTIONS GUYS!

Damon, sounds like you had a great time. Nice that those local folks were willing to show you the ropes.
I'm anxious to try the fishing in that area too, after reading several threads. Not familiar with the area tho' so I'll be in the same situation as you were. Are you at liberty to share the names of those smaller lakes, or were you sworn to secrecy?

Thanks. Yeh, I read the list of seepage lakes provided by the MarDon Resort and it was impressive in regard to the number of lakes and the species available.
Soda is one that Fear No Fish has share several successful reports on in previous threads.
I'm hoping to be able to get up that way in late June or sometime in July.

No motor restrictions on Soda. No limit on perch either, although there are no Perch in the lake. Nothing but suckers and carp.

I grew up in Ephrata and fished Potholes and some of the other lakes a bunch as a kid. Haven't fished there since the 70's. Was thinking of dragging the boat up there over the 4th of July and do some fishing between visiting some friends and family.
I was looking at the Washington fishing regulations. Seems like they have limits on crappie and perch now. I guess those trips of filling the cooler are over. I couldn't find anything on Soda Lake as far as regulations. Is there any restriction on motors on Soda Lake? I thought some of those lakes around Potholes had motor restrictions.
