What do you want to fish for. Tons of small crappie everywhere in that lake. Also bass should be biting pretty well by now. Trout available too.

Drop-shot the cliffs south of the resort.
If the driftwood is still back into Deer Creek, jerk baits work well just in front of it there. Otherwise dredge the channel with jig'n'pigs, Carolina-rigged tubes

Don't know about Prineville Res., but I fished Ochoco Res. last weekend and scored some very impressive fat rainbows. All told, we brought home 21 rainbows all at least 12" & up. A couple of 15's and a 17"er to boot. Trolling spinners and worms. Lots of crappie available too. Ive been going to this lake every year since 1970 and these were the biggest fish we ever caught this year. Nice campground too (no hook ups). Anyone else out there fish Ochoco?
