Seems that the stress is piling up in life right now... transitioning to a single income household, new baby on the way, still doing 2 nights a week in grad school (till mid August), and to top it off car issues. We're hoping the car issue gets resolved quickly, easily, and free of much pain...but we'll see. All in all, its creating a LOT of stress in Tex. So any positive thoughts/vibes you could throw my way would be greatly appreciated.

First off, here's something to help you put things in perspective (it certainly did for me):

Next, laugh a little here:

You have friends here ... many of whom are Christian. Although you didn't specifically ask for one, I said a prayer for you. I hope that's okay!

CT, I guess my stress manifests itself in worry. Man I can wake up at night and keep myself crazy til the sun comes up!

My friend tells me "worry is wasted prayer time". When I can remember that it definantly helps.

Sorry about the stress Jeff. Hopefully this too shall pass and things will get better. To avoid stress definitly do not move to Newberg. Been there, done that, hated it.

I know it will all pass and turn out just fine...I truly believe that. Its just hard sometimes when you're on the precipice of making a big lifestyle change, and something happens to slow it down.

On Newberg, that housing community is sold out...so those plans are also on hold. Can't a brother catch a break?!?

I just want to get the car resolved, get the house change resolved, and focus on the fun parts of life again...after 8 more months of part time classes on top of the full time job. D'oh.

Thanks for the positive thoughts though folks...they're appreciated.

hang tight Jeff,
Things will smooth out, and loosing out to the place in newberg, well it happened for a reason. Better stuff will follow. Most importantly, be good to each other. Remember, you both play for the same team, and the team needs to stick together to win the game. :angel1:
Cheers brother.

Thanks Brad. The team is doing great...there's no inner-family tension or anything. Just a lot going on right now, lots of transitions, gonna be a VERY busy semester with classes, and the two summer sessions will be even busier. But...light is visible at the end for graduate school.

We fishing Saturday?

I'm thinking so. Sunday looks like better weather, but I have installs that need dry weather, so sat. may be better to hit the river. I'll email ya.

No worries. If it works out, great. If not, then we'll do it next time.

At certian times in life stress has a way of being at a higher level than at other times. I had a pretty good lesson just last Friday. I had been driving on I-5 south bound when I came to bumper to bumper traffic. I was getting really uptight cuz of the hurry I was in. I approached the slow traffic about the same time that a large semi truck had but it was in a different lane. About 3 minutes into the slow up I noticed that the semi was way ahead of me. Now I started getting up tight about not switching lanes. Just then I had a good thought. Jesus said don't worry. He was referring to specifics like not worrying about what to wear etc. But at that moment I just recovered my cool. I let my worries go and decided to go with it. I was stuck in traffic and there was nothing I could do. I forgot all about my worries and lost myself in the radio. Later, not long, I was out of the jamb. And at that moment I realized that the Semi was way behind me. It made me laugh. It was like a healing feeling. God works in mysterious ways.
