In my post from yesterday I mentioned the 200 Mercury jets do no come standard with the high output pumps and that it was a $1200 upgrade. I have since learned this is incorrect. The new 200 merc jets all come stardard with the the high output pumps. I apologize if I mislead anyone with this info.

Is there information online regarding the "high output pump"? I am wondering if this could also be an upgrade or retrofit to a smaller Yamaha jet...

The high output pumps are only available for select V-6 engines and work best on engines displacing 2.4 litres or more.

So...what makes the "High Output" pumps High Out put??

Larger intake? 4 Blade Stainless impeller?

larger intake and larger impeller, 7 5/8 vs 7 3/8. They both use stainless 4 blade. Huge difference in bottom end power, top end about the same.
