Anyone ever fish the little pond on the corner of 185thand west union I believe it's called bethany pond? I was walking along the path the other day around 8 am and noticed a few really big splashes in the water (not ducks). I assume they are bass but was wondering if anyone ever fishes it?

Been a couple years, but I know they stock trout every year. I have heard that there are some good sized bass in there as well.

That place is a weed infested sewer. They do stock with trout and people do catch them. I've heard of bass too. But the place is gross, muddy, smelly.
I've been about 4 times, and the last I swore I would never go back. Fishing's not even that good. I would find someplace else. Bethany Pond is not worth your time.

I've seen some big carp pulled outta there, some stocketd rainbows, and a few bass. Nothing to get real excited about, however the trail over there makes for a nice evening walk with the kids.

Yep. I live right by there, walk by it 4 times a week. Those big splashes are carp. And there are some biguns, at least 15 pounds.
Lots of people say there are big bass in there, but I haven't met anyone who has actually caught one. I have seen 12" bass bedding though. And lots of stunted panfish. I am inclined to agree with Otolith. I live less than a mile away and have never wet a line there. I have only seen people catch trout during the six weeks that the planters last.
They stock it in April with trout, and by end of May, they are all gone.
