Entirely possible. Its still too early to tell yet what my plans will be, but there is a high chance I could be running the sled up the lower Sandy this weekend (or Friday). I just have to watch the water levels.

(My apologies to the purists out there. I know there's no picture more conflicting than having a fly fisher casting off the bow of a jet sled.) :flowered:

Mark, that is a conflicting picture: the tranquility of fly fishing vs. the noise and smell of a sled !

Next thing we know, you’ll be flinging bait or spinners again :noway:!

I gave up on the New Years trips a while back. Too many morning cancellations! I guess too many of my buddies would rather have "a full bottle in front of me instead of a full frontal labotomy." :hoboy:

Isaac, I may be able to sneak out that day. Last year I was with Wootersen up at eagle creek. We spend about three hours in a snow storm, got stuck on a hill. Lots of pushing and digging. All the time wearing felt soles. Not the best in snow!!! I'll check with the boss. WE do need to hook up.

You're all safe from the jet this weekend. With the Columbia just over 3.6' and the Sandy at just a tad over 9', I don't feel comfortable zipping across 4" of water and quicksand at the mouth.

That said, I'm packing the fly gear tonight for a little winter steelhead scouting early in the morning. You'll be able to find me in lower Oxbow Park if anyone comes a lookin'.
