Hey I happen to know that there is a really nice Shimano "Sedona 2000" reel attached to a 5' Daiwa rod at the bottom of the Willamette near the mouth of Sucker ("Oswego") Creek!
And how do I know this? Perhaps because I DROPPED IT THERE! aarrrgh. Clumsy me!
If you can snag it, you can have it. If you give it back to me, I will buy you beer and your fishing karma will increase greatly.
Things were going pretty well up 'til then. Caught a nice fat smallie off of MarySYoung park, then a PEELER CARP that was quite the exciting fight on a dinky rod. Must have gone at lease 8 pounds - he's bait for TWO crab pots! YUK!
Hooked another smallmouth there at Sucker Creek, leaped in the air and spit the hook right at me. "Nicely done" I said.
Then ... I don't want to talk about it. Right where you can see sort of that bridge on the trail up there ... maybe 20 feet off shore. I went back and tried to snag it off the bank, but I was using too much weight. I may rig up a grappling hook and drag it from the boat. Heck it could have drifted quite a ways now. Nuts. Go fish.
