Catch 22
12-27-2004, 08:55 AM
I've noticed a few posts where people are confused about the hatchery clippings on the Clackamas River and Eagle Creek.
I've posted this a few times over the last couple years. Here you go. :lurk:
This is for the Clackamas / Eagle Creek
Winter Steelhead
Big Creek stock - adipose & right max clipped
Clackamas stock - adipose & left max clipped
Eagle Creek stock - adipose & right vent
Summer Steelhead - adipose clip only
The Eagle Creek hatchery does not have a summer steelhead program. Therefore, any hatchery summer steelhead on the Clack should be a Clackamas stock summer steelhead.
I hope this helps. Call me if you have questions. I lived on Springwater Rd next to the park for over 23 yrs. Grew up there and guided there.
